:: About me Updated 9/12/06
Hello! My name is Caleb Howard, and my interests are (in order): gaming, food, participating in general websurfing, deeper levels of thinking, graphics manipulation/creation, web design, and programming. I am 21.

This is a picture of me at the pond near my home in Gresham.
A picture of me, Caleb, at a pond.

Turn-offs: tight or revealing clothing, excessive cursing, extreme ignorance or stupidity, very poor spelling and/or grammar, excessive leetspeak, smoking, drinking, general immorality, commenting excessively about my good looks (I swear it has happened before).

Turn-ons: outstanding morals, medium-high to high intelligence, humility, kindness, generosity, conservative clothing, similar interests/passions.

That being said, I am not at all interested in having or getting a girlfriend, or getting married, or anything of the sort. However, simple female friends are not objectionable. You may ask why I bother listing these things if I don't want a mate. Well, people tend to ask me about my turn-offs/ons regardless, so I figured I'd just list them here and avoid repetition.

THINGS I LIKE WHICH, BY EXTENSION, YOU SHOULD LIKE AS WELL

Music:
I tend to prefer more upbeat music, but I can aprecciate a wide variety of genres all the same. Except rap. I despise almost all rap. The only exception is DC Talk, mainly because I grew up with it in my household, and the lyrics are not offensive, like most rap is. Rock, Country, Techno, and Christian are all genres I listen to fairly regularly. I have more songs that are remixes of old video game tunes than songs from any other genre. Like any other sane individual, my collection of music is so large that it would take almost a week to go through the entire thing, song by song, even if played nonstop 24 hours a day.

Best movies of all time
Generally, movies are not my thing, and tv shows are even less my thing. However, there are a select few that have really caught my attention. Here is a listing of most of my favorites:
The Butterfly Effect
Back to the Future Trilogy
Frequency
A Simple Plan
The Sound of Music
The Emperor's New Groove
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
The Matrix (only the first one)
The Negotiator
Spiderman
The Incredibles
Monsters Inc.
Joseph King of Dreams
The Princess Bride
Forest Gump
Luther
more to come as I think of them...

Webcomics
Much more on that subject here.

The best games of all time
I enjoy many, many types of games. And I have played many. Just about the only gaming genre I cannot tolerate is First Person Shooters (commonly called FPS by gamers like me). They all look the same to me. The only one I enjoyed was the first one I ever played: Wolfenstien 3D. Oh well. Following is a list of what I believe to be the best games I have ever played. More may be added later. These -are- in order, which was difficult.
Chrono Trigger
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Mario 3
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Mario 64
Starcraft
Zelda 3
Super Metroid
Star Fox 64
Freespace 2
SimCity 2000, SimAnt, Streets of SimCity
The Oregon Trail Series
Donkey Kong Country 1,2,3
Tetris

Consoles owned
Computer (current and throughout all my past)
Nintendo Famicom,
Super Nintendo,
Nintendo 64,
Gamecube (Current),
Nintendo DS (Current).
You might say I'm a bit of a console fanboy, though I very much enjoyed playing the Sonic series on the Sega Genesis at a friend's house long long ago. Fortunately those great games have been re-released for the PC and just about every major console currently on the market.

Things I used to like
Christianity
TI calculators
